Ian Maclean is a Trusts and Estates attorney. Ian represents clients in estate, trust and fiduciary litigation, and all aspects of estate and trust administration, and estate planning. Ian is a partner in multiple practice groups, including Trusts & Estates, Estate & Trust Litigation and Taxation. Ian brings over three decades of legal experience to the firm and is among New York’s most deeply experienced and highly respected Trusts and Estates attorneys. He is frequently sought out for his client focused, thoughtful counsel, and vigorous advocacy in all types of trusts and estates matters, from estate and tax planning to estate and trust administration to all types of contested matters. Ian has also lectured broadly on trusts and estate topics and held several leadership positions in trusts and estates practice in New York, including his work for the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Ian’s clients include beneficiaries, distributees, fiduciaries and creditors of estates and trusts ranging from under $1 million to over $50 million in all manner of administration and proceedings in the New York State Surrogate’s Courts and Supreme Courts. Planning clients include individuals and couples with complex family structures, myriad asset types, and varied income and business models.

We are pleased to announce that Ian W. MacLean and Olivia T. Incerto have joined the firm. Ian, a new partner of the firm, will practice in multiple practice groups, including Trusts & EstatesEstate & Trust Litigation and Taxation. Ian brings over three decades of legal experience to the firm and is among New York’s most deeply experienced and highly respected Trusts and Estates attorneys. He is frequently sought out for his client focused, thoughtful counsel, and vigorous advocacy in all types of trusts and estates matters from estate and tax planning to estate and trust administration to all types of contested matters. Ian has also lectured broadly on trusts and estate topics and held several leadership positions in trusts and estates practice in New York, including his work for the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.  Olivia, a new associate of the firm, is a member of our Trust and Estates, Taxation and Estate & Trust Litigation groups. Olivia, like Ian, counsels and represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in a variety of contested and uncontested estate and trust matters, including, but not limited to, Will and Trust Contests and Contested Accountings.
